So how’d you like that AI generated intro?

I thought it was pretty good so I’m going to keep that around for a little while. I am back to doing this podcast! I have suffered from podfade which you can read about on the website https://podcasterspodcast.com/a-fresh-reboot/ but essentially it’s me giving up and quitting. That was that was pretty much it. The show was a lot to handle at the time, I was trying to do the show, I was keeping up with interviews,  and I just recently had a kid at the time.Life just got in the way and podcasting kind of fell to the side but creation never has stopped. I mean I have always been involved in things like software development and video making and other things like that. I’ve been posting things on tiktok and Instagram it’s kind of old been my random ADHD sense but anyway I’m going to try to get back to this appropriately now because I actually just recently found out that

1, this is still being hosted for free which I’m pretty amazed by and

2, it’s still getting a decent amount of downloads.

I mean the numbers are super low, there’s like 30 people but it’s still showing up in the charts which is amazing. I’ve recently just figured out how to add this thing to Spotify so I’m going to get a new audience there and I revamped the Apple and Google podcast links as well as the website. I’m going to kind of switch focus a little bit and move to, for right now anyway, more of a podcast review and commentary and start to talk about some of the things that I’m listening to and kind of what’s going on with that.

Now the overall guide of this podcast is to try to help people that are just getting started and I kind of went away from that a little bit in the sense that I started with informational stuff which is where I was going tutorials and how to’s,  Etc. Then I started jumping into interviews but the interviews just turned more into conversations with the actual podcast hosts which was great.I love that and I’m going to keep that content so that you guys can go back and listen to it. It’s marked as season 1. It wasn’t accomplishing the goals that I set out to do which was to help more people get into podcasting it just became an interview style conversation which, again, is still awesome I mean there’s podcast like The Joe Rogan Experience and other things like that where people just have conversations with random folks all over the place and people listen. Tim Ferris has this style as well.

So that’s where I’m going to go with this so this first episode back we’re going to mark it as season 2. I’m going to talk about Noah Kagan Presents, which is a podcast that I’ve been listening to a lot recently because I’ve been interacting with Noah recently. I was part of his book launch Team, I helped review Chapter 2 and 3 which is where he talks about “the coffee experiment” and failure. You can find that and more in his new book “The Million Dollar Weekend” which I have both read and listened to.It’s actually pretty awesome. I highly recommend it if you are a person.

I was going to say like if you were looking to get an entrepreneurship or small business or anything on those lines but I mean in today’s economy like if you’re not doing something extra to your nine to five, unless you’re making you know 400,000 plus a year, you’re not going to survive. The economy is such crap right now, at least in the United States, and that is as of February 2024 anyway.

So Noah, cool guy. He Runs OKDork.com, AppSumo.com and a couple of other projects his YouTube channel is very popular and actually I think he leans on YouTube for his social interactions as opposed to podcasting or TikTok and Instagram. YouTube is really kind of where he’s hit his mark and found his stride and gets really great content out constantly. He’s always trying to help somebody figure things out and get started. He does office hours with people as well where he will try to help them with their businesses and try to fix the kinks and other things that are going on.

I’ve personally had conversations with him at least through slack and some of the other channels. It would be cool to get interviewed and talk to him one of these days and who knows maybe we’ll get there. it’s really the effort that he puts into adding value that kind of makes him stand out and is one of the reasons why I’m recommending the podcast.

So the past couple of episodes are clearly about the book launch he’s interviewed people involved with the book launch and he’s been interviewing people that have read the book ahead of time kind of like a beta reader essentially have used it to get their business started.

Then, previous to that, he has interviewed a slew of people from people like Tim Ferriss, Dan Koe, and other people that are in the entrepreneur and small business space. He’s had interviews with random millionaires that he meets on the street and kind of hunts down some of them. There’s a couple of YouTube clips that he has where he literally is just walking down the street finding someone with a really fancy cars like “Hey, what do you do? Can we talk?” which is kind of a cool way to approach getting guests for your show.

So overall I think the podcast is great from a sense that it does cover a lot of things it’s mostly focused around “how did you get started?” He has a lot of good conversations with his guests, he does a question and answer format but it’s not static. He lets the conversation flow which is really great because then you’re entertained and you know it’s not just a static set of “here’s these 10 questions and let’s get your answers to them.” It’s more about talking with the person on how they got started with some recommendations and some advice they have for people that are trying to do the similar things to what they’re doing and then kind of moving on from there.

He’s currently at 339 episodes its been going since 2017, which is an incredibly long time for a podcast there’s only a few that are in that area right now Entrepreneur On Fire from John Lee Dumas as well as Smart Passive Income from Pat Flynn and a few others that have kind of stood that test of time because they are great, high quality podcasts and awesome content.

This one lasted for 6 months and 2018 died on the vine and now I’m trying to rebirth it so hopefully you can find a little bit of entertainment and a little bit of value from what I’m trying to bring and we can get the listenership back up and moving and I can keep this going so anyway check out Noah Kagan Presents, he’s on all of the podcasting hosts and you can find him on social media as well most of his social handles are Noah Kegan he’s a huge fan of tacos and you will figure out why sometime in the future as you go through his stuff. Also check out appsumo.com and check out milliondollarweekend.com and take a look at his book and give it a try so other than that we will talk to you next time
